The Regional
Warrnambool Art Gallery

The Regional is a major new commissioning platform developed by the Warrnambool Art Gallery to support ambitious new artworks by five leading contemporary artists working across visual and performance arts, sound and design. Through their practice, these artists directly engage with the economic, political, cultural and artistic complexities of the regional, remote and rural Australian experience.

Feature artists: Atlanta Eke, Gus Franklin, Paul McCann, Bronwyn Razem and Peter Tyndall.

The publication features newly commissioned research by important Australian artists and curators Claire Lambe, Phillip Brophy, and Peter Tyndall alongside scholar’s Dr Treena Clarke, Dr Emily Potter, and Warrnambool Art Gallery Director Aaron Bradbrook, and Curator Micky Schubert.  The publication is expertly designed by award winning book designer Lavinia Puccetti of Studio Martini, featuring installation photography by Christian Capurro, and made available for sale via the gallery store and on wholesale.
